About Us

The Colorado Wild Rabbit Foundation was established in 2013. We are an all-volunteer organization located in Boulder County, Colorado.

Our mission is to provide quality rehabilitative care for orphaned, sick, or injured wild lagomorph individuals, with the purpose of releasing them back to the wild and/or reducing their suffering. We also strive to educate the public about how to coexist with these gentle creatures.

We receive between 200 and 300 wild rabbits and hares each year and answer hundreds of phone calls from the public with questions about rabbits.
